Oxalis Triangularis

Oxalis Triangularis AKA Purple Shamrock or False Shamrock is a pretty low maintenance and beautifully decorative house plant with vivid purple leaves and bell shaped flowers. They react to the light, closing their blooms and leaves at night and opening them again at morning light.

The Oxalis may occasionally have a dormant period as part of its natural growth cycle, however it will ‘come back to life’. When this happens, do not water it and let the soil dry out. A few weeks later, new leaves will grow and watering can resume.

Light

Indirect, bright light (not in a spot that gets direct sun at any point in the day).

Water

Weekly watering throughout the summer months or when the soil feels dry to the touch. Less frequent during the winter months.

Humidity

Normal household temperature and humidity levels are fine. Doesn't like to get too warm (keep it below 25degrees C).
