Pilea, AKA the Chinese Money Plant, is a long-time favourite among houseplant owners. They are very easy to look after, just make sure you keep it out of direct sunlight and monitor your watering.
They are also really easy to propagate. Look out for pups; once they've got a solid root stem and several leaves, re-pot and share with friends to bring wealth and prosperity!
Pet Safe? Yes
Air Purifying? Yes
Nursery Pot Size: 10cm diameter
Only light watering required. Wait until top 2-5cm of soil is dry before watering. Let the plant drink from underneath; avoid watering from the top as this can cause the stems to become mushy.
Likes bright, indirect light. Direct sunlight may scorch the leaves. Pilea grow towards the light so rotate the pot every few days.
No specific humidity requirements but dust the leaves occasionally.
